HERE ARE SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I go home on the same day of surgery?
Yes, in most cases patients will be discharged the same day of surgery depending on the case. Larger foot reconstructions may require admittance into the hospital for overnight observation. This stay is usually no longer than 1 day.
How long is the recovery after surgery?
Recovery time after foot surgery can vary greatly depending on the nature of the problem. Recovery can take as little as 2 weeks and can be as long as several months to a year for larger foot surgeries.
How will I get around after surgery?
Some surgeries allow the patient to be weighbearing right after surgery. Surgeries that do require a period of non-weightbearing will require the use of crutches, knee scooter, or walker. Your surgeon will instruct you on what the best choice will be.
